This manual provides information on how to prevent the spread of freshwater pests and pathogens in Tasmanian waterways, wetlands, swamps and boggy areas. It is intended primarily for people who work in these areas, but also will help recreational visitors to understand the risks and act accordingly.

Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area - Biosecurity: Check, Clean (Disinfect) and Dry
Complementary Videos are available here.
Ten biosecurity videos have been created by NRM South, in collaboration with the Tasmanian DPIPWE, and are now available. The videos provide biosecurity guidelines for recreational park users, researchers, land managers and commercial operators. The videos focus on the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area (TWWHA) but the same principles can be applied across all land tenures including private land. The first few videos provide a general introduction to biosecurity, others provide specific activity based guidelines. This covers the threat to Tasmania's Wilderness World Heritage Area and what people need to do to check, clean, disinfect and dry to stop the spread of pests and pathogens.”
