Distance Learning Program in Aquatic Animal Health

Aquatic animal medicine is a young specialty of veterinary medicine that includes medical care of marine mammals, seabirds, sea turtles, fishes and aquatic invertebrates. There are broad sub-specialties within aquatic medicine which include care of captive marine mammals, care of pet fishes, zoo and aquarium species, aquaculture medicine, and clinical research involving free-ranging aquatic species. Specialty training incorporates aspects of clinical medicine, wildlife health, environmental science and engineering.

MSc One Health

This one year full time taught MSc, is open to both veterinary and medical graduates, or to students taking a gap in undergraduate studies. Our flagship MSc in One Health programme builds on the close links between human and animal medicine within the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine to provide a stimulating experience in a research/academic environment. The programme is studied over a period of a year, full-time. The programme has two elements: a taught component (90 credits) and a dissertation project (90 credits).
